The new way to blog
It's like twitter, but more robust!
I can blog from my BlackBerry. If I've got time in line at the post office again, I can blog rather than stare bullets at the workers! They should feel my passive-agressive wrath, though!! :(

Chicago 2016 is for suckers
I thought it might be nice because we live a few blocks away from the proposed Olympic Stadium. I'm not naive, I took Sports and Economics in college, and I know we'll never recoup the money spent on the games. I thought it might benefit me personally, as selfish as that might sound. But now I know differently. The city is now on the hook for $500 million for the 2016 games. If you divide that by the 3 million people in Chicago, that over $160 a person. Of course not everyone pays taxes, so it'll hurt a little more.
Here's my question: why?
I'd rather give that $160 towards educating someone that wants to be in school, or buying someone a suit that can't afford one.
Hell, at this point, I'd rather burn it just to spite the crooks in city hall.

I figured it out!
Well, not really, but it finally hit me. Why do music labels allow paid-for music downloads? Why can I buy movies on iTunes? Why will I be able to buy 360 games on my Xbox soon?
Because it's convenient? Sure.
I think it's because you can't resell these things.
It's not like I can burn the CD of songs I bought on iTunes and resell it. Once these services reach critical mass, companies will be selling everything new. There's no selling any of this stuff used, thus cutting into sales.
Why would I buy a game direct from the Xbox Marketplace for the same price I can get the physical disc? I'll be able to resell the disc to someone else when I'm done with it. I can write off the depreciation as "the cost of playing the game."

What $51 million buys in Japanese Baseball
Great article!
This is the top stadium I would like to visit. It used to be an open-air stadium until they installed the dome roof you see there now. Very cool grass seating in the outfield too!
